Any recommendations on an alternative to the footprint for the Monty.

I can't help but think that £32 for a groundsheet seems expensive. However, as we are camping in a wooded area this summer i need to protect the bottm of the tent from twigs and stones etc.

Buy a cheap tarp from any good DIY store and cut it to size.

Remember to cut it 1"-2" smaller than the tent to prevent water from pooling between them.

 If possible peg out the tarp, pitch the tent over the top, draw around the inside witha sharpie or similar and then after taking it all down cut to size.

these groundsheets from outwell are expensive for a bit of tarp as already said just buy a cheap groundsheet. We just fold ours accordingly.
