Well all I can say is good on you!!! im in the middle of packing car to go tomorrow with hubby ,kids and freinds and kids and after the rows we have had today (both me with my husband and her with her partner over the usual "ITS NOT ALL GOING IN THE CAR"!!!!).

I think its a great idea takes away all the stress if men dont go!!!! rant over.

I used to take my 2 kids camping to the Lake District a lot on my own as hubby worked away.....and didn't like camping. The couple of times he did go he moaned that it was 'stressful'!  My daughter (26 now) loves camping and has gone off today with her boyfriend to the Lakes for a few days.

The tough part now is I want to start again, but trying to convince hubby will be no easy task..........I could take the dog I suppose :)

Hi all - well I am happy to report back that we had a fantastic weekend, even the canopy caving in with the rain overnight and soaking everything under it didn't "dampen" our spirits.  and I am also happy to say that two of the mums already want to plan their next camping trip!!!!! Yay - I have converted them!!!

The kids were brilliant, all had a fab time - no arguments putting up tents, no arguments over who's looking after kids, no arguments over who's washing up!!!!  brilliant - can't wait to do it again.
