I`m a bit of a packer. I know where the large bulky items like the tent, cooker, suitcases,crate of tinned food go, but then I tend to adapt to whatever the wife brings out to surprise me with as I`m actually packing.

Car is a mondeo estate, so not exactly pushed for space, but we do need room for 3 adults. We use a half roof, roofbox, and so far have always managed to pull the load cover over the boot area to hide anything valuable, but I`m begining to have doubts for this year, think we may be heading towards a spot of glamping after buying a carpet, and a canvas wardrobe

I am a packer...but I'm not anal about it. There's the basic system which I follow each time (big items in base layers) but after that it really depends on just what I've brought or bought. Or which direction we're going in...the packing for coming home after a long trip is different ( ie bags of dirty washing in the boot, canvas stripped from the TT frame etc) from the outwards pack or even the between campsites pack.

Actually, that does sound a bit anal, doesn't it? But there's a great deal of flexibility on the plan. How else could I rearrange it to carry home an entire (disassembled) spinning wheel from France two years ago?
