Hi all,does cooking in a tent damage the material?

 Ime worried that rising heat will cause tent material to stretch or discolour. We have just bought a new nevada and want to check before making the mistake. Any hints /tips welcome.

ps we havent yet purchased a front extension.

I cook in my Nevada and haven't had any problems. I pull the kitchen stand further into the middle of the tent though and always have at least one of the doors fully opened.

p.s. good choice with the Nevada - fab tent!

Yes , one spark and the whole tent can burn down in seconds .

Cooking inside is not the only option. There are utility tents, tarps, large umbrellas, windbreaks with a roof etc for cooking under. Cost a few quid but alot less than a new tent and its contents and even more importantly, can save lives.
