I have found a campsite about 15 miles away from home to take my daughter and granddaughter to tomorrow. They allow fires in pits off the ground. Does anyone know where I can get a very cheap pit, I don't care if it only lasts for two fires! I just think it'd be lovely for my GD to see and toast marshmallows on. and everyone else will have one! I don't mind second hand either, no time to internet order so a local store/chainstore/supermarket. I'm in Derby. Thanks!

Just buy a very cheap basic BBQ and use the base. You can leave the legs off or cut them down.

We bought a cheap bbq from i think wilkinsons for a fiver,used it once to cook food and the rest of the time used it as a pit....great it was 2.
