a quick and easy long handled peg puller can be made by taking an off cut of copper or chrome piping about 6ins long and about 1/2ins diameter (the sort of stuff used for household waterpipes and showers), sand any sharp edges off,  and thread a 18ins loop of strong nylon cord, similar to the stuff guyropes are made out of. through the pipe to form a loop, then knot both ends together securely.

To pull pegs out, just hook the loop of cord under the peg, and use the pipe as a flat handle to pull the peg out. due to the longer cord you can get much more leaverage and pegs come out much easier, we have a few of these with various cord lengths for differing ground situations, short ones for soft ground, and longer ones for the tough stuff!

Slip another tent peg (thin wire type) under peg to be lifted a steady pull and you should have no problem........

I got fed up of pulling the handles off those store bought peg pullers so made my own a couple of years ago, no bending anymore and it pulls anything out
