we had a fantastic first full week in our tent although we did learn lots aswell!!!
We need a full proper groundsheet in the porch/extension, i just had 3 bits of tarpaulin and we kept tripping over it and it just looked messy.
I need to take some thing to store clothes having one big suitcase was useless for a family of 5, every morning pulling it out to find something for everyone!
I need to keep food in the tent and not the porch/extension as we got lots of ants, so need a cupboard of some sort to keep food in the tent, will still keep the kitchen in the porch/extension but will use the storage bit under in for pots, pans etc.
And last of all i need one of them dog screws for the ground to keep my 16mth daughter on,the times i had to run after her, one minute playing lovely right outside the tent the next gone, i was shattered!!! (joking about this one, but if some ones does know of something to make her stay put id be very gratful!!!!)
Had a great week and the children did not want to come home, we stayed at st leonards farm in bournemouth and will defo go there again, will write a review on here, lovely basic site clean and very flat, very hard ground though had to rush out for rock pegs!

glad to hear that you had a good time,
campings all about learning, we still learn something on every trip after years and years of trips....
when we take the grandchildren we put their clothes in a small holdall, saves going through ours to find them
ants will still get into a cupboard, we use snap lid boxes for food storage, they are expensive to buy a load at once, so we just got a few at a time in different sizes, shapes etc, i then make sure we have all sorts of supplies and goodies wrapped up in them,
16mth olds are great to camp with but very tiring, we take an extra adult to help run around with them
but best of all most trips its just me and the OH, our grown up kids nd the g-kids dont come with us on most trips....the joys of being an older camper..lol
