I've got a family meet to go next weekend, luckily here in N. Ireland it looks like we're finally getting that 'barbecue summer' that was predicted. I might extend the weekend a little as the weathers to get even hotter that following week.
Then kids back to school. We might get a last minute weekend away depending on weather. I'm sure we will as the weather is always lovely in September here, whereas July and into August are always wet. If you ever think of coming to Ireland, it's either May into June, or September. Forget the bits in between.
Yes I think thats it for us, unless I get away with the kids on my own before the holidays end. The start of the football season means the end of the camping season for me unfortunately.
I couldn't pack up for the year yet. I still have a long bank holiday weekend to enjoy and as many trips in Sept and october as I can fit in. Cosy fleecy blankets and a cheap fan heater are fab for extending the season.
Gota acouple of weekenders to fit in and a week in early October in the Peaks, then the o/h will have had enough so I will have to concentrate on the backpacking either on my own or with my 7yr old son who is convinced that he wants to go camping in the snow.
Oh yes I am also hoping to do some "Wild camping" with my lad and one of my friends, with a bit of luck we should carry on through til next season, just got to get the thicker sleeping bags really!

Possibly away this weekend, if the weather is not to bad, other then that unless September turns out to be a hot one, that is us finished for the season, albeit only bought my tent in early July, but already planning on where we want to go next year, this camping is pretty addictive!!
------------- Had to give up the camping due to the rubbish Weather and Wind, so got myself a campervan!
I've only just started camping, and it's a shame that it's coming to an end so soon! I was hoping to go this weekend, but the forecast doesn't look too promising. However, unless the weather looks like it will be very bad, we're going to go in mid-September for the long weekend.
Then, nothing to do but keep an eye out for sales on equipment and plan next summer's trips!
Got Guide camp bank hol wkend, then meet at Pillaton (tho in van so cheating!). DH wants to do final camping session for 2010 at Cwellyn Arms as we passed it going to my mates party in Rhyd Ddu and it got good review in this months camping mag. I nearly fell over when he suggested it as I practically have to drag him!!
------------- It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.
