Well iv'e had four fantastic weeks of camping this year but sadley we've decided to buy a caravan. After 10 years of wonderful camping and peggin down my legs just ache so much the next day.Im not getting rid of my gear cause i'le still have the bug for camping but i wont be going as much with the tent so i hope you all have a wonderful season next year.
We're the same, OH has a bad back and decided that sleeping in the tent is doing it no good at all. So we are now awaiting delivery of a VW T5 conversion, ready for going to France. The van is so we no longer have to pitch the tent, or pack up in the rain. We will still need to use site facilities, and intend to cook outside.
I got fed up with pitching tents but we are scout leaders and most sites we use will not accept caravans or would put us miles away from our troop and then found quechua 2 seconds base and that solved the problem with a trailer.
Also I can also now go away on my own with my 2 children 4 and 7 and I am only 5ft tall

------------- The meaning of life the universe and everything = 42 or camping?
I like the idea of the new style VW camper, we saw one at a campsite a few months ago and it really did look good. Look on the positive side though, no more having to take the tent down in the rain, you can be packed up and on your way in minutes, what an ideal way to go touring!!!
