If you use the above then you'll also have to reproof your tent after. Just saying...
I got berry stains on the roof of the trailer tent on a campsite near Paris last month. they were some sort of blue berry...the marks weren't so noticable on the maroon section of the roof but on the pale grey sun canopy they looked like blots of ink! I sponged them with plain water but that didn't help. However after another 10-12 days of being pitched on our next site the sun had faded the marks quite considerably, almost to the point of not being able to see them except from under the canopy. Few vegetable colours are permenant or sun fast without using chemical fixatives (I do a fair bit of home dyeing using plant based dyes) like alum or copper sulphate + boiling, so I would say your cherry stains will fade away quite quickly, with no other treatment necessary. Give it a chance anyway over a couple of trips before you launch into a major cleaning and reproofing job.
