Well I agree with other posters, would not like the thought of our pitch having been peed on by previous campers. I remember one trip, sitting enjoying a glass of wine after a BBQ, only to find an occupant of the next tent creeping out and peeing against the base of their tent in full view of us. I have to admit to expressing a few choice words and suddenly my chardonnay didnt taste the same!
THE buy of this year has been our Kamping Khazi, what a bargain. It suddenly ended 2am trips in the pitch dark to the loos, hubby in tow in case I tripped over someone else's tent or an animal attacks me (dont ask). It sits happily in the corner of our tent porch. I take on the trip to rinse it out on a morning (it works a bit like a bucket with a lid on), a swift wipe with a toilet cleaner wipe, followed by giving the whole Kamping Khazi a clean.
I am using this post by way of a confession!! I went camping at the weekend with a friend, I took some Travel Johns with me after a recommendation on here.
The first night, I had had a couple of glasses of wine and a hot chocolate then used the campsite loos, then bed... At about 2am I really needed the loo, so I used a Travel John bag in my pod. Oh My God, either I have a bladder the size of an elephant or very efficient kidneys. The whole bag filled up!! And then there was more!!! I managed to stop, somehow!! I never even told my friend the next morning!! Can't imagine why I'm telling you instead!! But now I'm over the shock, it was quite funny !!

we use a bucket for all our toilet needs,we normally camp on a site that has caravans and motor homes on, early mornings after toilet rituals, i empty our bucket into the nearest vans waste unit. letting the occupants dispose of it. Simples!. If we are on a site with no vans, we take a cheap toilet seat, Wilcos £7.99, this fits over most waste bins on sites. If the bins are emptied regulary, smell isn't much of a problem.
