I am considering buying this tent ..http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/tents/p/Gelert-Oxygen-4/1143 for just myself to go to a VW Syncro meet in October next.

After reading several reviews (on Amazon and others) it appears that the poles have snapped and finding replacements have proved impossible.

Now, I have a choice if I go ahead and purchase this tent A.  Somehow sauce a replacement set together with the tent and/or B.  Finding out from the innovative campers on this forum a way to strengthen them.

You can't really strenghthen poles as they have to be able to bend to form the tent. If you use thicker poles or make them more rigid then they will be under more stress to form the arc and as such will possibley break more.
