Hiya,

We purchased a Wynnster Marseille 9 this year and were impressed apart from the design of the doors, the ground sheets drop down, but when the doors are closed there is a massive draught bellowing through the bottom of the doors.  I want to attach some velcro at the bottom of the doors but want to get it right first time, do I use self adhesive velcro or do I stitch it and then seal over the stitching?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Hello,

I used stick on velcro on the flappy door of my Juno. Bought a metre of it from my local haberdashery shop and cut it into sections. Stuck it on hard and left it to 'settle' for a few hours before opening/closing it.

It works a treat, very simple.

Thanks guys - I will need to take the tent to the local community centre to do the fix I think as its bloomin massive, we had to dry it out as we got swamped on our summer break and it took over my moderate 3 bed detatched lol.  I cannot understand why they did not put velcro on the bottoms anyway - we took it to Gairloch camping and the midges up there have 3 inch fangs (well it feels like it anyway!!!!!!) so the gaps at the bottom of the doors were a nghtmare they were swarming in (no mesh on the doors either but that was my fault for not checking on that one) and it was blowing a gale as well :- d
