Recently purchased one of these to go with the netto ufo lights and is very good.can recharge by ehu or by car lighter....wouldnt recommend using the car mind as they do take some charging.

John (Polam) while they do take a long time to charge, it's only because the charging current it so low. I've charged from car battery with the car sitting there, no problem at all.

Thanks for that mate only used it on one trip so was'nt sure exactly,i charged mine while away last month with engine running as i thought it might flatten the battery instead it flattened my petrol tank lol.

On the hanging UFO lights debate....Bear with me cos I might ramble a bit here...

In the carp fishing world they have what they call Bivvie Lights (small LED lights) for lighting your Bivvy(fishing tent) These lights are stuck onto the bivvy via a small magnetic strip on the back of the light(put up inside the tent) and held in place by a small(strong) magnet placed on the outside of the tent...So you have a"sandwhich effect of Light/tent material/Magnet...

Not too sure (and not good with links) but I think the cost of the brand name Bivvie lights might make buying some a bit prohibative for camping trips £30-£40 for the branded names(I think) But reading about the wee Wilcos UFO lights and the problems of hanging them in a poly tent..I was thinking a small bit of metal superglued to the back of the UFO...and a small magnet purchased from a hardware store(If you can find one these days!!) would sove the problem of how to hang UFO'S in those tents with no internal hanging points!!!

Ramble over...Hope you got the gist of what Im trying to say....
