You have an EHU, get a 1kw fan heater from Argos a theromostated one.
Or a little gas heater just to take the nip off.

Deers Glade looks a nice site - have you been before? Open all year as well..

not been before Val looking forward to it and meeting some of the folks off here,Going to The Orchard next week and hoping to go back at half term the idea of a real fire appeals to me

love the real fires, but we used to put an 'outfit' by for night time - our smoking gear...it soon stinks!

We have a Coleman Northstar lantern and it gives of lots of heat as well as being a brilliant source of light.

Hi Keely, which Coleman Northstar lantern do you have? I've just googled that and there seems to be many different versions of it?

Thanks!

it's the one that uses the propane cylinders

edited as it was the wrong one

This one.
It does come in a soft shellcase like the slightly cheaper one.
I'm thinking the only difference is that one has instastart and the other you have to light with a match.

That's the really bright light in the last picture - you could see it way up the other end of the campsite

This is a good fan heater if you can find anyone with one still in stock - it's an older model.

Can't find the newer model that we have now.

A 2KW fan heater that can be run as 1KW or 2KW is a good one to buy.
I like the Bionaire ones as you can set the temp and it cuts in and out as it needs to. You can also set it on a timer (eg an hour) and it will turn off after that time.
Has frost setting too so kicks in if temp drops below 5 degrees C
Cuts out if it gets knocked or knocked over (ours is 2.2 KW)

I did prefer the one linked as it was 3KW and did give you more choices for heat output.

Found it

Thanks for clarifying Keely! I've heard many good things about the Coleman Northstar...
