Great pics debbie , my kids would love to see birds or animals coming to the tent .......although not sure about the chickens......it's a bit of a gamble on their part because i would be tempted to peel some spuds and get a real roast dinner going......lol
I got a bit worried when my dad took an axe out of his trailer, i thought he was going for one of the chickens.
But Nah, he was just chopping up some fallen branch for the campfire lol.
There were loads of ducks and geese too, and rabbits about early morning and late evening and squirrels would come very close for the monkey nuts we put out for them too.

Paul, you do gardens too do you? Weird if so....I'm a landscaper/tree/hedge bloke, work with my mate Paul.
Sorry OT....again :)
Right ol' racket them peacocks make. Blinkin' things. Bet they're good on the barbie though
when the weather allows me to Pete yes i do
do you think they would be like a pheasant??? just enough meat for 1
II get really nervous when birds or the likes are in enclosed type spaces - think it is the flapping.
As for peacocks we stayed at a site near Durham there was a huge group of us and had had a bit of a late night when at about 5.30 am they started calling for their mates - never had bbq'd peacock but they were getting very close go being breakfast!
I stayed on a site a few yrs ago that had Peacocks/chicken/ducks etc running about...lovely sight...and gave us a real back to nature feel....Not so lovely was the peacock roosting on the roof of our frame tent...Calling to his lady friends around 5am...Ive never seen 8 people sit bolt upright in perfect unison all at the same time before...Bil would have done it in if he could have caught it.............
Jelboy.
