Very much depends on the type and size of tent and how much wind and weather try to lift it. The normal straight wire pegs hold the least in soft ground - V or Y pegs work much better in varying conditions. Deltas would be for a larger wind catching tent which is not my thing so cannot comment.
My Hilleberg Nallo2 GT has held up in all kinds of terrible weather with titanium V pegs but it is a much lower tent that the good folks here tend to have.

I prefer rock pegs as a good all rounder, I have found Deltas difficult to get into hard ground

Bulldog pegs are brilliant. Can take a hell of a beating so good for smacking into very hard stoney ground, and also of a good profile to hold well in soft ground. And toughened alloy V pegs are great too - extremely strong, hold well, and light to carry.
But all depends. Tent size, ground conditions, weather conditions...all things to consider.

I find rock pegs good for most ground conditions but the old faithful Bulldog or vee section pegs are best for soft ground.

It depends. We use rock pegs and have never ever had a problem.
