We've recently invested in the Outwell Camper Lux bags. They are fabulous and so versatile. You can have 2 singles, one double, use them as a duvet etc. I seriously feel the cold and they keep me really warm.
We got them from Go Outdoors who pricematched Towsure so they were £36 each.
Yeh same here , we got a couple from Go at the sale for £29.......well pleased
We have one of these and honestly I have never been so toasty warm. I tend to feel the cold and so the first time we took it with us I insisted on taking my duvet too. This was May - not needed! I can leave it at home with confidence now!
I'll be getting 2 of the 500gsm pro action ones from Argos - got really good reviews so will give them a whirl.
------------- Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways --- champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other --- screaming... WOOHOO, WHAT A RIDE!"
We use a Coleman Hampton double and it's ok. It's a 2 season at best and would struggle in Sept/Oct. The quality is decent and the inside is nice fabric. It's a good size and plenty of room (I'm 6'3" and it's plenty long enough).
The one issue, perhaps an issue with all doubles, is the wind tunnel down the middle of the 2 people!
Firstly i have a confession.......... lastnight i slept in a vango
Secondly i tried out my new coleman hampton double SB it was great never felt the cold all night as a matter of fact i kicked it off a few times as i was getting a bit to warm. the vango tent i was in suffered heavy with condenstion even though i opened all the air vents but then again would this be down to it being a small 2 man jobbie?
so much so the sleeping bag as had to be hung out on the line today to air out from the dampness of the condensation. no rain here lastnight so it can only be condensation.
i slept in our coleman hampton double last weekend when it was 8 degrees at night and even with a thin blanket and silk liner i was cold. i have just bought 2 hampton singles to use next time we camp with nights that cold. used the same double bag in october a few years ago and even with a duvet above and below it i was cold, until i worked out that wearing two pairs of socks (+ thermals, pyjamas, fleece and wooly hat) would sort me out! i was also sleeping on an air bed, so don't know if that made it worse.

rosewall in july
blackberry wood in august
Richie my mate - just enjoy what u bought and make your own mind up - I've never met a woman who has had to put their leg/half body out the duvet cos too hot, or sleep with less then 13 layers in summer lol (exageration but not far off sometimes lol), blokes are hotter temperature wise and don't need as much hollow fill fiber... it's a fact!
Them bags will be fine, if not... put a hat on! lol
------------- There's only ONE thing worse than being talked about, and that's... NOT being talked about! :-)
Me and the daughter camped out wednesday night even she kept kicking the covers off, shes only 4, so far so good might wait for a real cold night and have another go
