Oh Dear, I have a Mocha Outwell - bought mainly for living space, secondly for colour - honest! The only downside is finding everything to co-ordinate, I have yet to find a 'Mocha' coolbox - can't possibly have a blue one! The chairs I want to get are a shade of green - wonder if I could re cover them? The car is going to have to be changed - it is green!

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
Colour is definitely important, but function does come first. But if I didn't like the colour I wouldn't buy it! I'm not a lover of the plain blue and/or khaki green tents - but when we bought the Vango Diablo, we could only get it in blue (I wanted the grey/mercury colour) so blue had to do. There was no way I would have bought the green version! I have to admit our first tent was bought because I loved the colour - the pretty grey, white and orange Rage Tromso
I currently have my eye on this little beauty though. Not to camp in necessarily, just to look at! Canvas Tent
Colour is very important for me. Wild camping and its dubious legalities mean discretion is necessary. Has to be green or a very neutral colour.
Whatever's inside is another story - bright orange Thermarest ,blue sleeping bag and various soot stained titanium gizmos.
Don't get the need for colour coordination. Unless the colour really does improve your means of shelter or cooking. Maybe orange tents are actually better in the rain...
I'm superstitious and believe the colour green to be unlucky so if i had a choice of green and another colour i'd pick the other colour 1st but if it had everything else i wanted in it i'd pick a green tent. I like blue so if i get a choice i'll always pick blue :)
I really don't have a preference for colour - tho I did pick a blue one and stood out just fine from all the different natural shades that are so Common! lol
A white ceiling makes a hell of a difference aswell, brighter when the light is lower.
I can also find every thing I need for inside in a superb contrasting yellow, it just seems to work so well inc yellow guy ropes - fanTastic!
I've not bought anything in yellow at this point as I'm really not fussed, I go camping for my own enjoyment with what ever colour I've got... sorted! :-)

That's exactly why the colour green is regarded as bad luck...in the earliest days of outdoor theatre, if you had a green costume you literally blended into the scenery. Actors hate that sort of thing even now. Hence the bad luck attached to green.
