We have just come back from a weeks camping in the North East and very good it was too. As a result we decided to attempt a couple of weekend breaks away before the season ends, we have already purchased an Aldi special 4 berth for this reason (our Kampa Lulworth 6 being a bit on the large side for a weekend). We also needed a small utility table so we had a look at the new Blackburn Go Outdoors store (bad mistake) we came away with an Outwell Carolina 3M on offer at £150 plus carpet and foot-print half price, the Aldi tent has yet to be taken out of it's bag!!!!! Do you think we have a problem?

Hahaha - Go Outdoors should come with a warning. Or a mortgage adviser....

I need to go and sort out some split poles but am scared I'll come out with another tent!

You just know I'm going to come out with that Monty if I go in to sort out the poles!

John, loved the location in Brompton and the facilities were good. Pitches were very narrow though and EHU is only available for vans. We're going back next year though! (I have submitted a review but it's not been posted yet). Have you been or are you considering it?

Stuck down here in Cornwall can be a pain sometimes as there is no such thing as GoOutdoors - I have just bought my Outwell Carolina M, Carpet and Groundsheet and it has all arrived in the post!  First test in the garden tomorrow!  The problem I have is this damn internet - I go on various camping pages just to browse as you do and then out of nowhere appears my credit card and before I know it I have bought an Aerobed, a Carolina L carpet for the living pod of the M, 2 pce dinner service and it looks like the card is going to pounce again this evening for the purchase of the Outwell 12v coolbox!  I can't go to work because I need to be home to sign for all my parcels!!!

I just tell myself I am purchasing it all before the VAT rate changes in the new year - all that money I am saving!!!

That's the way we look at it. However, We visited Go Outdoors again today and was shocked to see that the tent we purchased last week for £150 was now £230+. I felt like Basil Fawlty, yes this time we actually came out on top, brilliant, I think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
