We were meant to go away for the weekend to Woodhouse Farm near Ripon but my OH got the flu, and as it turned into pneumonia last time he was this bad, we decided not to go. Really disappointed - would have only been our third camping this year. On the (sort of) plus side, our friends went and ended up with a broken pole on their tent as it was sooo windy, so at least our gear is all intact. It was the pole that forms the porch that snapped, and they said they saw another tent with a snapped pole in the same place. Is the porch particularly vulnerable, and if so is there anything to be done to prevent this happening in the future?
