This is the one I bought from lakeland it a 2 slice toaster but works the same way as the one slice

We tried with the flat toaster and in all honesty they get very hot and can only do one at a time and guzzles the gas canister.

More sucessful methods.... clean chip pan basket over the gas stove... or as I discovered this morning.... the BBQ!.... had  a fantastic cheese toasy for breakfast this morning!

toast has an art to it, but you will work out your own way.

we ave an american favourite grilled cheese (butter bread on oneside of each of two slices put cheese on dry side of bread then place butter side onto dry fry pan until brown then turn and do the same on the other side until cheese has melted)

also make panini's in the same way keep pressing the filled bread down with spatula or whatever you have to hand.

Sits over the burner and does in seconds - don't turn your back or have your stove on too high a heat. You'll probably get more recommendations to this effect as they are very popular on here. Unlike the 4 slice toaster gadget that featured very heavily on a thread recently about biggest failures.

Well I am glad I have seen that pic - I must be the only idiot that hasnt been using one of these properly, I have been putting the bread in between the two parts and wondering why i just seem to get black bread! 

Thanks for posting the pic - my hubby is gonna take the mickey out of me when I tell him i have been using it wrongly!

On a recent thread about toasters, I was probably the only person sticking up for the 'pyramid' toaster.  The one you set up from flat into a kindof pyramid shape and set over the flame, and you can do four slices at once.  It works for me.

Patboy and Dylan, did you get to see anything of the beer festival, or the jazz in the park during your stay?  Or the Severn Valley Railway or Safari Park?  I may have passed you in the town!
