My new tent (Vango Tigris 400 dlx) has just been delivered and I'm sooo excited!
I promised Alexander, my son, that I'd wait until he's home from school before opening the boxes so we can do it together but I'm really regretting that now, lol!
I feel like a kid on Christmas morning being made to wait until everybody's up before ripping into the prezzies, lol!
Oooh so exciting for you. I ordered the Tigris 600 last night and have just had notification it has been despatched. Hopefully will come very soon as it has been a long time since I had a new tent and I can't wait.
Where did you order yours from? I got mine from World of Tents, they were really great answering my questions and putting my mind at rest before I ordered.
Lets hope yours turns up in the next day or so and it's all in order.
I haven't a clue when I'm going to be able to pitch it for the 1st time, might not be until next year.
Thanks Helen. I've still got two unopened huge boxes sitting in front of me because Alexander decided to stop off at his mates place to watch a film on the way home from school.........sooooooo frustrating!!
I've been sniffing around the boxes and I've sussed that the long heavy one is the tent (no surprise there!) and the big square one contains the carpet and footprint (again didn't take much deducing, lol!) but I want to SEE them!!!!!
Hopefully we get some nice weather over the next few weeks so you can pitch it, I want to get my tent out one more time before the cold weather sets in!
Mine arrived today. Can't wait to have a test pitch. Will watch the weather avidly from now on. Friends have got a huge garden so am hoping to pitch there when I next pop down to our allotment.
It will then have to stay away until next summer when we have hopefully finished off our extension and can take a 'proper' holiday. :(
I love our Tigris 800 and remember the first time we test pitched it. The only advice I can give you is to throw away the pegs that Vango ship with the tent and buy some real ones .
Yup, don't know why they bother to put them in. The only use I have for them is pinning down my strawberry runners!
Fortunately have got hundreds (yes, really) of pegs including lovely deltas. Have had rest of my tent collection up in the garden for the last 6 months to store our stuff whilst we build. Unfortunately will have to bin 2 as they have come to the end of their life - but gives me the chance to still look for more bargains to top up my collection again!!
