also how well is the switchgear addapted to condensation lying on the cold groundsheet of the tent ? I suppose if you took adequate precautions it may be do- able with a degree of safety but i would want both the adjustable switches in some sort of water resisatant housing personally .
OH is an electician and is quite happy with the safety issues. We have the switch in the bedroom pod on the floor blanket so haven't noticed any problem with condensation.
And lightening...well I understand it hits the highest point, hopefully that keeps me safe on my blanket.
