With uni about to start I am thinking about makign the most of the last couple of weeks of freedom left.

Maybe a long weekend, possibly 5 or 7 days somewhere.

Would you grab a short camping trip in these circumstances or is it too much hassle for what its worth re camping for potentially such a short period of time?

Also, any site recommendations within a 2hour drive of Manchester, preferably by a beach, very quiet, basic facilities needed only and cheap as chips?

What you reckon?

I know, thats what is veering me towards going and grabbing a few nights, the fact that realistically, it is going to be next summer before I get chance again.

wow shinealite, you go away for one nighters? I suppose I really could cut back on the gear I take lol I am one of those who packs for ANY eventuality and never uses half the stuff I pack.

As for kid, I'm 35 and a mature student lol it just feels a bit rushed with uni drawing so close, however, I suppose if I really pare down what I take then it won't be such a chore packing and unpacking etc etc (don't have the space to leave everything together ready to go kinda thing.

The only correct answer to the question "should I go camping" is "Yes"! Grab every opportunity you can.
