Shhhhh, don't let your soon-to-be ex get wind of the find! He might belatedly lay claim to the gear.
On a slightly divergent tack, I was surprised to read how many people either don't use, or haven't been in, their lofts. I'm lucky in that my loft is reasonably dust-free and very dry. I used to have to scramble up a step-ladder (which, in hindsight, was a bit risky) but recently I invested in having the loft floored and a proper fold-down loft ladder installed. It was money well spent - now I have a really useful large dry storage area where I keep my tents and other camping gear.

Ha ha - he can have his tent back if I can have the ten years of my life back that he stole from me!
I've been considering getting a set of loft ladders, apparently is all boared out up there.
Our sons girlfreinds parent were clearing their loft 2 weeks ago and came across their old tent which they bought in 1997 and only used it 3 times, they decided they were never going to use it again and gave it to us,It's a Lichfield 6 berth frame tent in immaculate condition .I shall post a pic as soon as I can to show it off.
We are converting our loft into a bedroom and storage room, complete with spiral stair case, so we will have dry indoor storage for all the camping gear; we have tons....( six tents for starters...)
