Ooooh! Hope it wasn't anything too painful

In the meantime - you had better keep off the forums till your mood has lifted. As for me - I'm layed up again with my dodgy knee, so I've got a bit of time on my hands....getting bored now though....I wish I watched TV, but don't have the patience to sit through the c**p they churn out nowadays....Mmmmm! I wonder what's happening over on BBC2....

See you later Floggitt

Skipper looks like a great little dog and he must be very docile for a terrier type mix if he agrees to be penned in by windbreaks. I tried this with terriers once back in the day and they were straight under and out. Luckily, they were also on tie out leads at the time so no harm done.

Does this campsite ask that your dog is kept on a lead at all times?  If your dog p*ssed on my tent I may well be likely to p*ss in yours.

Oh be nice! It was a UKCS meet and everyone was having fun...including the dogs!
I didn't mean to be mean, just stating a fact.  I hope it hasn't put you off these meets you go on yet I would suggest a closer eye kept on your little Skipper to ensure everyone doesn't give you a wide berth. All the best.

Not sure how to address this Bilbyboy as I'm not sure if you have actually read the rest of these posts. If not then I should explain that my Skip only actually marked one tent on the meet, and that was my lovely neighbour who had a couple of dogs of her own. My neighbours were not as bothered by this as you seem to be (something tells me you are not a dog owner). This sometimes happens with dogs (lead or no lead), however, implying that you would p**s in my tent would be a criminal act, and as such, a tad over the top don't you think? Yes, I will be going to other meets (booked in for November already), and yes, I will be keeping an eye on Skip, but I assure you that if anyone wants to give me a wide birth then that's no skin off my nose, but they’re a great bunch, and I'm sure they won't!

Sorry if this comes over as a tad curt Bilbyboy, but I, and the rest, (who were actually involved) have now put this to bed - after all, there are more interesting threads to follow

Tracey

It does seem that Deer's Glade don't have any rules about dogs being on leads, so I guess if you go there it means you are happy with that.

Which tent did you take Zenobia/Tracey. The photos with your dog inside look great. What breed of dog is he? He looks very cute.

Dare I ask if a dog marks a tent or windbreak, do you just swill with plain water?

Our dog is a bitch. When she was in very young she used to piddle if anyone made a fuss of her. Lost count of the number of wet shoes and trainers. She loves playing with other dogs when we go on walks. It would be nice to go camping where she could do this.

Don't think I would have liked dog mess in the field I was camping in. Hope Pillaton is not usually like that as I have my eye on going there next year for a weekend.

My dog is a young springer bitch (seventeen months old) and she still piddles when she gets excited. So we always bring her outside to say hello to new people so she can leave a puddle on the grass instead of my kitchen floor.

I was in Pillaton in late July and there was no dog mess anywhere. I found the site extremely tidy and well tended and was very impressed. I don't think you'll have any problems.

What makes you say that ? all dogs while being walked must be on a lead i think all campsites have the same rule dont they ? or are you just guessing

Hi. Campsite rules vary from place to place as they are decided by the different owners. When I quickly glanced at the Deer's Glade website I didn't spot any of the usual wording about dogs having to be on a tie out lead etc etc but I might well have missed it as I wasn't exactly doing an exhaustive search
