I picked up this company profile and link from the BBC website. They are a UK producer of high quality locally sourced meals that are in sealed pouches, with no need to refrigerate. Now that could make camping so much easier!

From the BBC story they are supplying some airlines now, and on their website they have a voucher for 75p off their meals from Sainsburys in November and December.

Looks good to me! Well worth investigating further me thinks.

I'm wondering whether the negative comments above are from people generalising about pouch foods (i.e. the traditional ones from other suppliers), or are you (above) talking from experience of these 'Lookwhatwefound' meals specifically?

From the reviews, the BBC content, and from the literature on their website, these are being made with quality in mind, sourced from local specialists. I'm going to give them a whirl. At about £3 a meal they're not cheap but could be good for one or two nights.

I always keep a couple in the camping box, and we take a few for those days when we may not be able to source fresh supplies.

For what you're getting, they're not that expensive (how much is a soggy sandwich from the services?) and they're not full of the rubbish that's in a lot of ready meals - they also do a gluten free range.
