Anybody know where weather might be reasonable (ie not TOO much rain!) next week between Thursday and Sunday? I want to take my grandson for our last camp? Ideas appreciated!
Thanks Safeway56! I was thinking maybe Derbyshire, having weather watched for a week, but wondered if anyone else thought so too. So Derbyshire it will be!
im trying not to look at the forecast in case it says DOOM, No where near Derby but we are going to the Orchard for 4 days on thursday and im just praying for good weather not warm (but that would be nice) just not wet and windy please
Thanks for your message,James. I am still trying to decide where to take my grandson!! I rang a site in Whitby earlier and they said their fields were completely inundated and uncampable on! I am now looking at either Pooley Bridge, even though it could be wet and a site near Hull coz he wants to go to The Deep Aquarium (so do I, sounds great!) I'm getting dizzy checking the bbc website, the met office and others to see where it might be best. They all seem to change their mind hourly!
I think I've settled on Scarborough / Filey coz the weather seems to be better over that side at the end of the week. The wind are coming from the South and West so not off the north sea! Thursday looks OK for pitching, Friday is quite wet but Sat and Sun look OK - not too much rain! I need dry to pitch really if I take my Hartford. Bear Lake might be better?? I just trust my Hartford better when it's wet! But the Bear Lake is better when it's cold... Decisions, decisions... Am fancying Humble Bee farm...
Dare I take Bear Lake and Hartford then go, ip dip ??
Still not made my mind up! But... Snowdonia is top of list!
Waunfawr maybe? They've got a hallowe'en train on Friday for Welsh Highland Railway, Caernarfon to Beddgelert. Went there in May and it was fab! Microbrewery on site as well as station for Welsh highland railway.http://catsatavonhead.blogspot.com/2010/10/more-welsh-highland-railway.html
