Well, I'm going (unless work intervenes) and I'd hardly describe myself as brave! In fact, I regard myself as a fair-weather camper. As to 'hardcore' well I obviously can't comment on a family website LOL

I must say, even with crap conditions - you can't beat camping really. My friend has actually rung to ask when we are going again , she now wants to do a festival next year also ? So loved reading your post. A party in a static too! lol....all good fun. Very jealous in a good way tho! I don't know any of my girlie mates that would be like your friend as thier reluctant to camping is at any time of year let alone autumn/nearly winter! I'd be up for it, but don't want to go solo camping. Good for you 2!

Yes it was a C&CC site, I dont think we will be going there again very soon lol.
I agree though camping is fun, I am 71 and usually use the trailer tent for October half term, but this year wanted to recapture my youth, so bought a tent, I am now beginning to question my sanity lol
