Took the plunge today and after watching trailers for quite some time, actually took the plunge and bought one off Ebay. Can't wait to pick it up, it's a Daxara 107.
Well done, you will soon wonder how you ever coped without a trailer, that thought comes shortly before you start wishing that you had bought a bigger one, but don't let that bother you, as that thought goes through everyone's mind, no matter how big thier trailer is, at the end of the day you have increased your load capacity no matter what size the trailer is, enjoy.
You'll never know how you managed to pack all your kit in your car once you pack the trailer for the first time, and the car will still be full. But as acamper60 said you'll soon fill it. If it was any bigger you'll still fill it with more stuff. Bought mine in September and never looked back. Damn! Where's my trailer?!!
Well, as it happens my finger slipped when I was on the Yeoman's website earlier this week and I bought a smaller tent in the sale so there should be plenty of room in the trailer!
absolutely love our trailer. bought it off ebay for much cheapness and drove from central scotland to exeter to pick it up, a 19hr trip all together but worth every mile. as previous posters have said, you'll wonder how you got by without it!
Hi welcome to the 60 MPH club , Well done but you will soon find extra goodies to fill the trailer. I bought a erde 122 two years ago and have since extended the sides to double the capacity and this weekend i bought an abs hardtop as the tarp cover was bulging on the last trip !!!! Anyway well done and enjoy.
Hi Martin.
60mph club in UK, but once your over in France it's OK to do 81mph, as long as your rig is under 3500kg, one of the reasons why I went for a trailer with 13 inch wheels, also another bonus is that you pay no extra on the Autoroute tolls, so long as your trailer is under 2m in height, unlike here in the UK, were they charge you an extra £4 for having a trailer on the M6 Toll.
Yes we have just done the same, an Erde 102 with cover, an Outwell Casagrande L Plus 4 birth tent a 2 birth tent and a double airbed all for £102 We picked it up yesterday we have to get a tow bar fitted yet so we had to put it in the back of the car, a bit of a squeeze but we managed.
Bought a second hand 5 x 3 wooden sided one from a local farmer, only paid £10. Just needed a new lighting board, new tyres and a couple of coats of yacht varnish. As good as new. Didn't know how we coped without one.
I think you're all very naughty, I've spent the last season trying to streamline the camping gear and your all encouraging me to buy more and pile it high, lol!!
ive got a towbar and fitted it got if off ebay for a steal ready to buy a trailer off ebay but almost moved over to the dark side (caravan)and decided against it just need a trailer for the right price
