I have just come back from the store in Newcastle and they said my card expired in October, the new card will cost £5.00 not bad a 25% rise wish my wages went up the same rate lol.

We bought one in August as we got a great deal on our BL6,and hopefully we shall buy any stuff for next year before August. It would have to be something worthwhile for us to renew, especially as they have put the price up.

Hmmm. The go discount card was a good scheme when they started it, these days though you can find most stuff at the same price, if not better, elsewhere. Don't think I'll be renewing at £5.
Nevada M + front extension + carpet + footprint = £150 from boxing day - is there a catch? Only that there are 10 packages per store so the early birds will win.
Now I got a fairly good deal with price match from Go when I bought my Nevada and extension, but this is a true bargain, especially when you think of how the prices will rocket next year.
Hi Chris.
The card could be worth having, as I think they will only "Price Match" and better by 10% if you have the card, I can think of a few products that would soon recoup the cost of the card. in fact there is a independant camping shop, just around the corner from my "GO" and they often have products below "GO's" prices.
I cant complain about the price of the card. All in all it has saved us a lot over the last few years. Its also more convenient being able to touchy feely items that we want rather than order online and perhaps be dissapointed with them or in the case sometimes order online and get the message 24 hours later that the item is out of stock - despite them taking payment!
I really cant grumble- I saved about £50 on the carpet for our Norfolk Lake and they donated £150 of equipment to us when we were cycling for MS this summer.
All in all a fab company and the staff are very helpful.

I couldn't find how to get the card online, so I rang them up and they told me you can only buy them in their stores.
Rubbish, you can add them to your shopping cart like anything else they sell...

Sounds like the person you got on the phone had no idea what they were talking about!
------------- 2011 plans:
April - Exmoor 11 nights
May - Brynawelon, Wales 3 nights
July - Rendlesham Forest 4 nights
Then I am off back home to Australia, where the weather is always perfect for camping :)
Can't complain about spending a fiver a year to purchase a GO membership card. Always check online to see if what I'm buying can be purchased anywhere else for less though!
I look upon it as a fiver well spent just incase in the same way I give the CC their membership every year
