Last year I woke in my tent at stoopid o'clock It was just getting light, our pitch was miles away from our neighbours, but I snook out quietly as a zip will allow, to see if there was any wildlife around... nothing but the dawn chorus. I made a carafe of coffee and sat reading my book, as the first rays of sunshine appeared over the hill, I realised it would be another hour or so before they warmed the tent, so I carried my chair to the centre of the field and basking in the early morning sun, I sat and read my book, gradually the site came to life, people and dogs emerging from their tents, stretching yawning and stumbling sleepily over to the loos, hands were raised in greeting as they passed, muzzy smiles on their faces, gradually the sound of kettles boiling, children playing overtook the still of the morning, and I wandered back to my now, sun warmed tent to wake the hubby with a cup of tea and persuade the dogs to relinquish their comfy spot where I had laid, and go for a walk with me.
no idea why I put myself through this torture,
Ooooh Anne, that sounds lovely
