Hi All,

Please forgive me if this is not the correct place to post this, but I've just picked up an Outwell Carolina M (labelled as '3') footprint for £4.99 (plus delivery of £6) - BRAND NEW.

I am yet to receive my item, but they seem to be selling off lots of things ending shortly. Excellent feedback.

For anyone who may need a carpet or footprint, check out - intertent10.

Around 20 items, the majority Outwell products, just ended about 15 minutes ago (I got snowed under at work and would have posted the link sooner). I am sure they will be relisted shortly.

It's from a certain online bid site... is this post allowed?

Thanks,
Amnesia

I emailed him to find out if he is getting any carpets in, but they aren't going to stock them anyway.

Very quick to reply, so it may be worth sending him an email via eBay to see if he is going to get your product in any time soon?

I'm sure the seller is Intertent aka PJ camping a retailer with a shop in Herts and sells online. I've bought stuff off them online and had very good service.

You definetly got a bargain there Amnesia.

Definitely did get a bargain! I still haven't been to Tesco yet either, so I think I may have missed out on the £2 deal haha.

By the way (and this is a VERY cheeky request); but if you're ever selling any equipment, let me know. I'm just up the road :-)

lol Amnesia, I'm renowned for buying far too much, using it once then selling it. I will be selling stuff in April/May so I'll give you a nod first!  You're not cheeky, much easier for me to sell locally (usually sell on ebay and much prefer collection rather than packing stuff up). Anything in particular you're looking for as my garage is a bit of an aladdins cave .

Thanks btw as I read your post about the half price camp bed coming up at Go Outdoors. I've registered with them but never seem to get the emails and deals sent through. We want one of those beds for our 12 yr old daughter to use with a self inflating mat and £5.99 is a great price.

Well, so far I have a Footprint and Tent. I'm going to pick up some metal pegs for £10.99 from Go Outdoors (as the Outwell ones are only plastic, not sure if they are any good?).

So I still everything! I think I'm sorted for a stove, they're also half price in Go Outdoors from Monday for only £5.99 each, so I'm going to pick up two. Things like roll mats etc are inexpensive so I will pick them up. Ideally, I'm looking at Tables/Kitchen bits and pieces really. I bet you weren't expecting a shopping list from me! Haha.

There are many more deals happening at Go Outdoors, there was a link on the homepage to a PDF document lsiting all of the offers coming up in March... not sure if it is still there.

There are also great deals on for Sleeping bags in Argos too right now.

With regards to the Outwell blue plastic tent pegs, they are fine, but being fluted they tend to get large clods of soil stuck to them when you pull them out which gets a bit messy. Also, the first rocky pitch you go to will bend all the tips and they will then be more or less useless. I changed all mine for rock pegs once the Outwell ones became useless.

With regards to sleeping bags I would try to get the best quality ones you can afford if I were you. I bought a sleeping bag from Argos once and the zip caught in the material and ripped it to shreds on the first trip. Good quality sleeping bags will have the zips protected by beading to prevent it getting caught.

I can vouch for their service. Bought a foot-print for coleman mackenzie. Paid £9.99 and £6.00 delivery. Arrived two days later. Everywhere is I looked is nearly double the price.

What do you think of these blue diamond pegs?

Not bad and a reasonable price. My only reservations are that they are smooth shanked which means they could slide out in loose soil and the striking plate at the top is too close to the plastic hook so the plastic may eventually crack. Having said that I never had any problems with the ordinary thin wire pegs that many tents come with apart from them bending so they should be fine.

I now use these rock pegs which have threaded shanks to hold in the ground more firmly and can be screwed out if they get stuck and the striking plate is a few millimetres above the plastic so you are unlikely to strike the plastic. However, as you can see, they are quite a bit more expensive.
