Yes i totally agree with Fostermum ! with the door zips left undone as well. It's about keeping the roll really tight and laying on it at the end to get the last bit off air out !
I dont bother till get home, i use two bags one for the tent it came in and another for the inner. Easy to do that if is wet as it usualy is. Save s all the hassle when packing and quicker to come home. Manage to get it packed after been dried out.

How on earth do you get an outwell vermont xl back in its bag?!!
How do you get any tent back into a tent lol. It is impossible. For years we left out the poles just to fit the tent back in the bag but that did lead to us managing to leave behind the poles at home one fateful camping trip. Drove 2.5 hrs to lovely site in Wales, got the tent out and worked out where to pitch by checking lenght of ehu (as had seen someone pitch too far away from their hookup last time we camped) and then realised we had no poles and had to go home again!!!!! I had even pre-made tea ready for just heating up!

Any hints and tips for wen its soaking wet, absolutley pouring down and you have no room in your car, thats got to be THE worst camping nightmare
Bin liners are your friend. Can't help you with the lack of space though.
The two main points have been made, roll twice & roll towards the door but to get it in easier is when rolled we always use the tape ties it came with as if these fit its rolled tight enough & then we pull the sides of the bag apart & drop the bag over the tent instead of trying to struggle picking it up, once its part way in just turn it the right way up & its own weight finishes the job.
