I had one done straight away in store with a copy of a newpaper advert although this was at the point of purchase and not a refund on a previous sale.

I think most stores are used to doing them most days and rarely do Head Office get involved unless it's really big.  I used to manage a large retail store and we had so many price matches I used to let the shop floor supervisors do anything upto £50, they never reached me or my deputy never mind Head Office.

Always did it instore and they go online to check in stock in other store take off cost of postage and 10% cheaper straight away.

Got a few items this way, saved on postage to other store and 10% cheaper
