Getting giddy now, first trip of the season tomorrow to Thorpe Hall near Bridlington. Just taking the Jersey M pop-up as only me and the youngest daughter are going, wife and eldest daughter away at a swimmng comp. So I thought it was an ideal opportunity to check out the site with a view of us all going next weekend for a few nights with the Monty!!!

I can almost taste the fish and chips sat on Brid harbour wall...........

I have sorted out my first trip as well.  My son also plays football, which can be a pain, sorting out trips.  Thankfully he has only one game to play, then the season is finished.  But does have a few tournaments, which I can work around.

Thorpe Hall is always our first camp....close to home if anything's wrong with the kit after a winter in the garage.

Would have loved to join you this evening, but weather still not looking brill. Maybe another couple of weeks before we venture out. Have a lovely time and don't forget to report back!!!

Well, we're back from Thorpe Hall, had a lovely time, the weather was kind although awoke to a frost this morning!!! It's a lovely peaceful site, there were maybe a dozen vans on site and we were the only tent!!!  My daughter loved falling asleep to sound of owls hooting in the surrounding woodland...........bliss.

We enjoyed the site so much that I'm taking the gaffer, eldest daughter and dog this weekend (not forgetting the youngest daughter too) in the 'proper' tent for a 3 nighter!!! Happy days!!!

I love the noises outside when you go camping, so much nicer than traffic to hear  birds, geese, sheep etc.  Never bothers me at all if they make a din
