A friend of mine needs her tent repaired professionally

its split near one of the seams, so a tape repair will only be a temporary repair, and its a good tent that is worth repairing

anybody have any recommendations for tent repairers near Lichfield/Burntwood/Cannock way ? Or somewhere not too far from there

Hi Brommo

Just googled and found THIS PLACE in Burton on Trent - they offer a pick up and delivery service too. There are loads if you google 'tent repairs' and add an area. It may also be worth asking at any local camp shops - they may know of someone that works from home nearby. Hope this helps and your friend gets sorted soon.

Rob at Temples at Jacksons of Old Arley did my repair while I waited (30 minutes) and the price was very reasonable.  Because of the rebuilding at Jacksons, you need to phone and find out when Rob is there, but we found him very helpful.

as i have mentioned on this site before, try ringing round local curtain makers / soft furnishers as that is what i do and most of us will have a industrial machine, i do tent repairs, boat covers, trailer etc. not worth advertising but will always have a look at a job to see if my big brute would stitch it.

I also live in Tamworth but don't know anywhere off hand but if you go down to Tamworth Camping in Plantation Lane and ask there they might just know of a local company that deals with tent repairs or you can ring them on 01827-250095 for help.

or send them an email enquiries at tentspares.co.uk - they are friendly and have given me advice even when I'm not buying anything.
