Our choice is a bit easier now that we have the newer Andorra with zip in annexe. Our choice used to be mainly between the Antigua and the Andorra - the Andorra if we didn't need to take the portaloo and the Antigua if we did want to take the portaloo (spare pod in Antigua for the loo). We also have the Athena if both of us are there to pitch (rare for the last two years.
Group camping involves more discussion - smaller sleeping tent and a separate kitchen/dayroom set up.
I'm also quite prone to chucking the pop up sleeping tent in the trailer in case of problems.
So yes, long discussions here about what tent to take, luckily hubby is interested.
We tend to have long discussions about chairs as well!
