Difficult to advise without seeing it, but personally i think i would be reaching for a needle and cotton rather than glue, that way you can always change your mind about the repair if it doesnt work and gentilly unpick your stitches, but once glue is on the fabric you will never remove it, even if it turns out to be the kind of stuff thats solvent based and may 'melt' into any fabric containing polyester threads, causing an even larger problem than before.
