I asked a couple and it was the woman who helped me. I do think men are stronger than women - that's simple fact - but it really just came down to needing two pairs of hands.

If I saw someone struggling I'd certainly offer to help. I''ve never been taken as being patronising when offering assistance to anyone.

I was at a 4x4 rally last year where I pretty much spent a morning helping people who had bought a tent for the rally and not test pitched before they came - one of them bought the tent en-route that morning.

I am in the same position and about to go camping on my own with the kids. I will be begging for help I imagine.

Last time our neighbours helped us which was just as well as it was raining windy and we'd borrowed the tent and didn't have a clue. Campers are such a friendly bunch and I chatted to loads of people when we went away. I love it.

Eh ? You think that all men are stronger than any woman ?  What rubbish !

I work hard physically & get lots of exercise - so though I'm small & slim I'm quite strong - I'm most proud of my triceps ! (biceps aren't that puny either) my brother in law is  over 6 ft tall but he's a lanky unfit streak of misery - I have  lifted & carried with ease things he struggles to get off the ground.

I'm no superwoman but I'm stronger thjan quite a lot of men, and there are plenty women far stronger than me ! I also think an awful lot of your strength is to be found in your mind... if you're determined & approach things in the right way you can utilise whatever strength you do have to it's maximum.
