The only tip I can offer is try putting the tent up at home before going off anywhere.

I bought the Kampa Croyde 6 last year and am really pleased with it, I am waiting for the vestibule to come in stock at Norwich Camping, I have my stove under the canopy, but move most things inside at night, just in case anything gets wet, so I thought the vestibule would create a kitchen area that can be zipped up at night.

I dont know about the parachute effect, but hopefully the vestibule would fit quite snug to the front canopy. I have read the reviews on the Filey 6 vestibule, which I dont think is very different and people seem to like it.

as for pitching the tent, I have tried front 1st, then back 1st and both ways seem fine, then I was looking at a thread the other week where someone suggested pegging the 4 corners of the tent 1st then putting the poles in the middle section 1st then work to the back, then work to the front. I think I will try this next time just to see if it is any easier.

My husband has no interest in camping, so it took me and my 13yr old daughter approx 50 mins to put up, and no problems when we pitched up in the garden, but when we got on site we hadn't thought about the wind and every time we stood the tent up it was like a parachute! luckily some people came to help us and the recommended buying some rock pegs, as the ones what came with the tent were just lifting straight out of the ground, and most of them are now bent :(
