We're going for our first camping trip as a family of 4 in a few weeks time and here is my dilemma -
We booked 3 nights to stay on what looks a lovely farm campsite with our 2 young children which was advertised on their website as a family friendly site. Had a look at the site the other day and it now says adults only!? I sent them an email asking what the crack is and they said its not a problem coming with kids?!? Not sure what to do now, don't want to get stuck upsetting people who think they have booked on an adults only site with our young uns running around> HELP!!
As above, I would speak to them also, it could be that they haven't many booked on the site at the time you are going or even that they have children themselves. Either way, if anyone is upset by having children there and they say anything then just direct them to the owners of the site.
As long as everything has been cleared with the owners beforehand then go and enjoy yourselves. Have a lovely trip.
Might be worth looking at the site reviews section on here to come up with a couple of feasible alternatives near your original choice.
Not that you should give up on your original choice yet, but one of the joys of camping with kids is that there are (usually) always lots of other kids for them to play with giving you a chance to relax for a few seconds at least, until they start playing cricket next to your new car, need someone to lauch their kite, lose a football up a big tree, etc. etc.
------------- Manor Park Farm, Cromer every august, but somewhere different every may/June.
4 years of superior packing yet still no room in the car
I have paid a non refundable deposit so think we're going to go and hope for the best, the lady I spoke to originally really did sound lovely so hope she was genuine!!
If not suppose we could pack up and find another site, thats the beauty of camping I suppose....its always an adventure.

Thanks for all of your help
If you have paid a deposit then you have a contract with the campsite. If that contract included the kids then they have to honour it. If they don't then they are liable for any reasonable extra costs that you incur in going camping at that time.
