Wow, this thread has turned out to be Councilling for Campers (C4C). I love the fact that I don't feel alone anymore in my frustrations when erecting the tent.
I really don't know why but as soon as packing starts at home I start to feel het up and the slow winding up begins. No matter where we go how long it takes us to get there I am normally in a bad mood as we start to erect the tent. My OH bless her takes a lot of flack from me as its guaranteed anything she says will be wrong, although she is normally right and when I do what she says its normally followed up with a "Yeah I knew that" from me. Perhaps its a male pride thing but its amazing the healing powers of a cup of tea has because normally after all thats said and done a cuppa really soothes any ill feeling and that to me is when my holiday starts.
If anyone is in Lower Hyde this Friday and you want a laugh when a blue MPV turns up with a car load (3 adults 4 children) thats me. Our record for putting the tent (Khyam Quebec Deluxe) up is not as quick as others might manage but it will be a good spectacle. Spare a thought and don't laugh too loudly :o)

I remember a very dignified elderly lady emerging from her caravan two pitches down from where we were squabbling loudly yet again over setting up the TT and silently handing us two bottles of cold beer. Then she beat a hasty retreat. Yes, we did shut up (mostly) after that, lol!
