My largest tent is 2.5m x 1m - and I don't have a car. Sure there are many others who'd fit on that pitch just fine. Worth bearing in mind you might not have the leverage you thought.
This forum is dominated by those with very large tents and cars. There are many campers who use neither - yep we're not well represented here but we do exist and camp... and that site will happily take our money.
