I was really looking forward to our camping trip at the Camping and Caravanning Club site at Sandringham tomorrow but now really worried about the high winds forecast.  It's the only trip we can make this year so want to go. 

We have a 2010 Montana 6 with front awning.  As we live in Norfolk anyway, plan to drive to the site, get a pitch and if too windy to put the tent up when we arrive, go out for the day and hope the wind dies down by evening?  We will also leave putting the front awning up until the winds have died down.  What do you think guys?  Should we chance it or stay at home?

Google earth the site, cross reference the wind direction with the forecast then at least you can hopefully pick a shelter spot.

The wind doesn't look to bad for the weekend, 19kph, west going south west during the course of the weekend.

Put the bum of your tent into the wind and the awning should be OK.

Take extra guys and deltas if you have them.
