Val, what are you sleeping on? Did you have a double if so why did you get rid of it? Sorry for all the questions I have two windows open and am trying to decide whether to buy an aerobes half price today or an aplkit dozer. I really dont have space leading to indecision.

I sleep regular on the the vango double sim now (7.5cm), and there is a dozer next to the double (vango is MUCH better, I don't rate the dozer at all in terms of inflatability)
Still got the raised king aerobed but find the sims comfier tbh. Only started using the sim as it was winter (warmer, less cold air underneath) and a lot of my tents have low sloping sides so more practical
With regards to space, they both probably take up the same amount of room deflated

Hi Val, your tent is amazing!
It looks so lovely, I'm sooo jealous (I have a 5m bell but all my stuff is v. utilitarian ). I think if I tried to do that to our tent my husband would have a heart attack (but my 6 year old daughter would be in heaven)!
Can I ask, where did you get the awning for the tent? I've been looking for a porch-type extension but have only found the sail-type ones - I much prefer the one that you've got.
The genekers were ordered with the tent from canvas and cast - he usually throws one in free, and i paid the extra for the other
The best porch i have by far though is the one i got from tortuga tents as it's thick canvas, covers the door totally so rain never gets in the doorway and you can leave it open in grotty weather. Also has thick guys and is no worry if the weather gets windy, and an adjustable front pole to higher the front and keep it taught

Val, for once in my life I am actually lost for words! It is beyond amazing. I would be practically sobbing if I had to take it down and come home!!
