Ok im undecided so advice please.

i have a 5x3ft trailer which i used for camping with my other car, i dont mind towing but am fearful of meeting a caravan coming the opposite direction down a narrow lane.

i now have a renault grand scenic which has a huge boot, and effectively is classed as an estate car.

so do i get a towbar fitted at a cost of around £170 or buy roof bars £90 and 450l roof box £130

do you think boot and roof box would be enough or should i go the trailer route and hope i dont meet no caravans.

im confused......

Trailer will always be more useful ignoring the costs.Small trailers can be difficult to reverse, especially if you can't see them, but ther are very easy to unhitch and manouvre by hand.

reversing is my only worry. the trailer is well below the view from my rear window, so you dont see it until its well out of line.

unhitching and moving it is a possibility i guess
