Same as everyone else - fantastic pics, my OH was there this morning doing the Ride Across Britain, so it's nice to see where he has been because apparently it's difficult to take pics when you are cycling?!
Its just the weather that stops me going up to scotland in our tent (I'm a fair weather camper!) we will have to be brave a just go one of these years!
Beautiful pictures! Brought memories back. I was in the area in 1997. And belief it or not - we had 27 degrees celsius and sunshine!
------------- Proud owner of a 1987 Sprite Alpine 370 EK, a cheap popup tent and a beloved retro Trio frame tent from the early seventies, called Giraffen.
Friends and I used to camp on the spit of land just opposite Eileann Mundie. It's actually the sl*g heap from the slate quarry that has been allowed to grow over. In recent years, they've turned it into a nature walk...it's popular with local dog walkers.
Although a bit damp (midge central in the summer), it was a great place to have a good laugh without disturbing others.
It was a great place for some excellent walking missions:
Aonoch Eagach (The Jagged Edge) - a famous knife edge arrete on the north ridge of Glencoe was the most memorable.
Odin's cave
And the Pap itself.
