Despite the weather forecast? We're off to Wales tomorrow ( supposed to be ! ), but the forecast looks pants..especially for Friday when heavy rain is predicted. We're taking our new gelert atlantis 5,( first time out in this tent ) and have no idea how this is going to hold up to heavy rain ( and strong winds also forecast ).

If we cancel now we can't go again until after the 30th June....and it might still be rubbish weather then. Why is every time we utter the words 'tent' or 'camping' it rains. Sorry folks,...but its all our fault !

What part of Wales ar you going to? Its lovely and sunny here today!

My feeling is that I want it dry to put the tent up, anything more is a bonus!

The problem with the longer range weather forecasts is that they change daily, and I think theres a huge element of guesswork involved!!

Ever the optimist, lol!!!

I am away on Friday to Hadrians wall campsite with my hillwalking club, was going to take my Neveda M, but only me going, so taking my pop up, but yes the weather looks poor, rain and wind.

One of my boys is camping down in Wales this week, went yesterday coming back Friday, will no doubt have loads of wet muddy clothes to wash

Well, the weather rumours are that its going to be pretty much the same pattern all summer...changeable....so I suppose it makes little difference when we end up going....certainly it doesn't seem as though we're going to get a long spell of days and days of sunshine in the forseeable future. Perhaps we should view it as an 'adventure' rather than a 'trial'....a change of scenery even in the rain is still as good as a rest I suppose......

Am I doing much of a good job of convinceing myself?...I don't think so !!

Btw 4Princesses...we're going to Cardigan...

ah just go for it...

last weekend weather forecast was for wind gusting to 50mph, torrential rain, thunder storms, and hail where i was off to...

still went...and came back with a suntan...only rained for about 30 mins the whole weekend(was torrential though!) , pitched and packed in the sun...good luck

 We was the same last weekend, wasnt sure weather to go last weekend or this, we went last weekend when weather was forecast for rain and heavy rain, ended up only got a little rain on the friday! Just go for it!

We're of to Long Meadow in the New Forest on Friday for a couple of nights. We'll still be going regardless, second outing for our Outwell Ohio - hope it goes up better the second time around

thanks all...decided to go for it....currently packing....and making NO headway whatsoever !!...I've never left washing and ironing stuff until the day before we go before...plus there's pet things to sort out for animals left behind...lists to write for sons at home...shopping...I haven't got anywhere near to locating all the camping equipment yet, let alone packing the car up and its lunchtime already !!....

I'm in South Wales and its Sunny today, the worst of the bad weather was last weekend, lots of rain and quite windy.

Its not exactly going to be a scorcher this weekend just showers most probably.

I do love the sound of rain on the tent for some reason
